Frequently asked questions
Is Optima, RempTek's SEO analyzer, really free?
Yes. Scanning a page is free with no signup. Entering your email unlocks the full check-by-check report and improvement plan, also free.
What does Optima check?
It audits on-page content (title, meta description, headings, image alt text), indexing signals (robots meta, robots.txt, XML sitemap, canonical), social and structured data (Open Graph, Twitter cards, JSON-LD), technical health (HTTPS, redirects, response time, mobile viewport), and Lighthouse performance with Core Web Vitals metrics.
Do you store or crawl my whole website?
No. The analyzer fetches only the single public page you submit, plus robots.txt and your sitemap index, and doesn't store your site's content. The optional full site audit crawls up to 20 pages you point it at, and also stores nothing.
What is a good SEO score?
90 or above means the fundamentals are strong and the rest is fine-tuning. 75–89 is good with a few worthwhile fixes. 50–74 means the page is indexable but leaving visibility on the table. Below 50 there's usually at least one issue that can keep the page out of search results entirely — fix the failed checks first.
Why is my Optima Score different from the Lighthouse SEO score?
They measure different checklists. The Optima Score runs 21 weighted on-page checks (title and description quality, headings, social cards, sitemap, structured data and more) against the page's HTML. Lighthouse's SEO score is a 9-audit baseline (title exists, page indexable, valid canonical…) measured on the fully rendered mobile page. A page can pass Lighthouse's basics while still having plenty of Optima findings — read Optima for what to fix, Lighthouse for how the rendered page and its performance look to Google.
